Anyone who remembers the days of 28k dialup and screeching modems can affirm that the web and its inhabitants are in a state of constant change; therefore the building of websites is an ongoing learning experience that never ends. We will show some of the old and some of the more recent to illustrate this. Although our first few websites were built during a period of stubborn refusal to use any templates, we are not as hesitant to use them today. Open-source web elements offer a goldmine of possibilities to those who know how to use them.

Lase Med Inc

This was our first website.

This website was re-built in 2007, with minimal change to the theme of the original website which was conceived by Lase Med CEO Dr. Carpenter, who also made the first LMI "sun" logo.

Blackwater Studios

Our second website, built in 2007.

Blackwater Studios is a recording facility located in Cabot, Arkansas. Years after the site was first built, templated Flash image galleries were added to several pages of the site.

Dizzy's Grill & Bistro

Lots of green, lots of Flash content.

This award winning restaurant in Benton, Arkansas is as much an art and curio gallery as it is a fine dining establishment; so the website became a curio gallery as well, with a "Dizzy" sense of humor added here and there, as well as a focus on "go green" environmentalism.

Smith, Frank, and Partners

Investment firm in Dallas, Tx.

This website was built by the team at Neutral Blue web design group. We created a set of ten animated Flash headers for the website, each with different images and different messages. To see them all you must view each page of the site.

The Medical Conspiracy

Weekly radio talk show.

This show began in 2009 on (defunct) Liberty News Radio, hosted by the above mentioned Dr. Carpenter, CEO of Lase Med Inc; and now airs on Orion Talk Radio, Live365.com, and Spreaker.com. The show deals with Dr. Carpenter's experiences with medical disinfo, particularly as it partains to the cancer industry and its controlled opposition fronts. We produce audio segments for the show, and Randy (Alien Dog) has portrayed numerous voice characters both live on the air, and in a radio mini-series called "Medical Conspiracy Theater."

This was a very simple and straightforward website built on a budget; by taking the client's existing web page "ad" and expanding it into multiple pages; while making only some minor changes to the layout of the old page, per client's request, so it would still resemble his old site. Thumbnail image galleries, contact form, new graphics, and email accounts were also added.



Jillian's Little Jungle

Child Care Facility, Owasso, OK.

Jillian's Little Jungle is a licensed in-home daycare located in Owasso, Oklahoma. For this very simple site the client chose a free template from one of our resource sites, and assorted flora and fauna were added to the design with Illustrator. Some minor changes were made to certain graphic elements of the template, fonts, pop up image gallery, signature graphics, and Google locator map.

You decided that your business or organization needed a website of its own. You made several inquiries at various web design firms, each time more amazed at the amount of money demanded by each. You didn't need a site built by NASA engineers, but you didn't want to use a cookie cutter to build it yourself either. You knew that somewhere there had to be someone who could help you. Then you found Alien Dog, and you were glad that you did.



Domains and Hosting 101

Domains and Hosting

For the unitiated, a domain is an official name and address assigned to your website. In our case, the domain name is ALIENDOGGRAPHICS.COM. A domain name is usually chosen by the client. Web hosting however is SPACE, like the land on which your house sits. You must have land in order to build a house. You must have web space (hosting) in order to build a website on it. When you purchase hosting you are purchasing (renting) web space, and your site name (domain) is then assigned to a webhost's NAMESERVER. Our nameserver is NS1.BLUEHOST.COM; for hosting fees, our webhost (Bluehost) assigns our domain (ALIENDOGGRAPHICS.COM) to their nameserver, along with a certain amount of data space to store the pages and files of our site.

As of yet we are neither a vendor of web hosting nor a registrar of domains. We recommend purchasing domains at GoDaddy.com and web hosting at GoDaddy or Bluehost.com.



 

A word about Flash websites:

Please keep in mind when browsing the template sections on the left:

Many of these sites contain "Flash templates."  Although we can certainly customize these for you (to a degree), it should be noted that as visually beautiful as they are; according to SEO experts, Flash websites are not as searchable by search crawlers or "spiders," due to the fact that search crawlers cannot view text that is contained within a graphic. This search disadvantage does not apply to a website that contains Flash content, only to a website built entirely in Flash, which is essentially an interactive graphic embedded into a webpage.
